★★★★★ David and Tammy's guest home was by far the best AirBnB I've ever stayed at...and heck, better than a good many hotels. Their accommodations were precisely that: accommodating. In every way.
We were a family of three traveling with our almost two-year old, and we were meeting our friends who were traveling with their four-year old. This home provided the perfect amount of space for our two families to enjoy 5 nights and 6 days together.
Each room had a queen-size bed and its own sizeable, full bathroom. Each couple stayed in their own room, and the two kiddos stayed in their own room together. The four-year old got to stretch out in her own bed. And for our toddler, David and Tammy not only provided a pack n' play, they set it up for us before we even arrived. All towels and linens were provided, and each room had a large screen TV and an Alexa to turn our lights off or play music or set an alarm (not that we needed an alarm; our toddler IS our alarm).
The kitchen was the center stage for any time we spent in the home. It was spacious and fully stocked with more than just the basics (coffee, tea, and condiments)--thoughtful little things, like peanut butter and jelly, cereals, canned goods, pasta, etc. Before we made our grocery run, this stuff really came in handy. The kids enjoyed eating at the kitchen island on the two stools. But David and Tammy also provided a booster chair for our toddler, so we could also eat at the dining table together. Oh, and the convenience of not only having every kitchen appliance we could need, but also a washer and dryer? Couldn't beat that!
Oh, no, wait... Yes, they could beat that and they did. They allowed us the use of their car to get around the island. We ventured out every day. So, not having to rent a car or call for a ride was immensely helpful and convenient, and it saved us a LOT of money.
But the two things about this home that made it special were:
1. The lovely backyard had well-kept grounds; a sizeable swimming pool with aerators that kept the water cool all day; a casita w/ a BBQ grill, picnic bench/table, and hanging swing; poolside lounge chairs and benches; and floating hammocks for the adults and pool toys for the kids. We were out there EVERY day!
2. The thoughtfulness that David and Tammy put into Dream Space was beyond any of our expectations. From the amenities and provisions to the decor to their responsiveness, they put a lot of heart into this home [away-from-home]. The ocean theme was a great touch, and they carried it throughout the home expertly from color palette to decorations. Tammy is the artist behind the lovely paintings that adorn the walls throughout the home, and even some of the decorations, like hand-painted jars and decorative boxes.
David responded to texts and/or calls immediately every time. (I may have even inadvertently interrupted a business call, and he still managed to respond immediately.) They also provided us with excellent dining recommendations and shared some local treats with us (the pastries were delicious). And, they even sent our kiddos home with little parting gifts.
We were already talking about when we can come back before we even left. Bottom line: If you're staying on Nassau, stay here.
